The Evidence Hierarchy: Where Each Exosome Claim Actually Sits

The exosome category has an evidence problem, and it is not absence — it is sliding. Research from one preparation is quoted for another product; stem-cell studies are borrowed for EV marketing; animal results lose their caveats in translation. Reading exosome claims like a scientist is mostly learning to locate each claim on a ladder.

The four rungs

RungWhat it isWhat it can support
Published reviews & registered investigationsSystematic reviews, triple-masked studies, trial registrationsCategory background; route feasibility
Internal observational programsStructured programs with recorded observationsAppearance/comfort-level framing; NDA-accessible
Case documentationAnonymized clinic recordsProtocol-design reference
MarketingAdjectivesNothing

Our case documentation is published: the Case Library holds five anonymized entries, each with its protocol, session cadence and client-reported observations on record. |

Two data points on this ladder need their caveats stated upfront. A 2025 Cell paper reported aged monkeys receiving engineered progenitor-cell infusions showing younger biological-age scores — with exosome-mediated signaling as a key mechanism — and it is animal data, not yet human. One sentence every buyer should memorize: no regulator worldwide has yet approved any exosome product for any medical indication. Any claim implying otherwise ends the conversation.

The three swaps to catch

  1. Preparation swap — a paper about one preparation does not validate every commercial vial described with the same word. Evidence must match the exact product, route and dose.
  2. Species swap — animal and in-vitro results presented without their not-yet-human caveat.
  3. Category swap — stem-cell or PRP research quoted for exosome products; related fields, different evidence.

A useful physical anchor: the 500-Dalton rule of skin penetration says complete skin barely passes small molecules — a ~100-nanometer vesicle is millions of Daltons. Claims that vesicles sail through intact skin to rebuild collagen are marketing language — which is why our topical programs use appearance-level and comfort-level terms only.

Every playbook we publish states its evidence level. Open one and judge the ladder for yourself.
