Ten Questions to Ask Any Exosome Supplier Before You Sign

Consumer exposés keep finding the same failure in every market: brands selling claims their supply chain cannot support. China's March 15 consumer-rights broadcast is the loudest example; it has equivalents in the US and EU. For exosome brand owners, the lesson is simple: vetting your supplier is your job before it is the regulator's. Ten points we advise every brand to run before signing:

  1. Batch traceability — can the supplier resolve a vial code to culture records, or only to an invoice?
  2. COA with named methods — NTA, TEM, endotoxin (LAL), sterility; methods stated, limits printed.
  3. Characterization standard — does the COA reference MISEV2018-aligned logic or a national measurement guideline?
  4. Filings on the material line — INCI registration, DMF Type II, or the market-appropriate equivalent.
  5. Production environment — fully enclosed line with logged parameters, or open handling?
  6. Retain samples — kept per batch, available for audit and dispute.
  7. Claims discipline — appearance-level wording on pack. A supplier in the habit of treatment language is handing you their liability.
  8. Cold-chain design — temperature logging and validated windows, not "we ship fast."
  9. Pilot path — 500-unit pilots on the production line, or a MOQ wall?
  10. Reference check — a network clinic or channel actually running the program.

A supplier that passes ten of ten is rare. A supplier that resents the questions is common.
