Plant-Derived EV Platform — Rose & Marine-Fermented Fractions, Characterized Like Pharma Intermediates

The problem this playbook solves: plant-derived exosome storytelling is everywhere and documentation is nowhere — brands want the origin narrative with a real material chain behind it.

Plant-Derived EV Platform Program — Product Development Playbook — program shot

01 · The problem

Plant-derived EVs are the trend narrative of the category — rose, ginseng, green tea — and the least documented: most offers are extracts with an exosome name and no measurement discipline. Brands want the origin story for the shelf and the filing, and cannot find a supplier who treats plant EVs with the same characterization rigor as pharmaceutical intermediates.

02 · Scientific rationale

TONGNIAN's platform runs plant fractions (rose-derived, marine-fermented) through the same characterization baseline as animal-source EVs: NTA sizing, TEM morphology, endotoxin and microbial panels, batch COA [2][5]. Gentle handling and compliant phrasing are native to the closed micro-batch line, matching published plant-EV carrier guidance [4]. The result: origin storytelling that survives a diligence pass.

03 · Program documentation

Plant platform documentation is maintained internally — extraction records, characterization baseline, and formulation compatibility notes [7]. [6]

Method anchors: [1] EV biology and cargo [2] MISEV2018 characterization [3] category evidence (review or registered study) [4] formulation and handling guidance [5] national measurement guideline (2026 No. 17) [6] internal protocol and case documentation.

05 · Process & QC

EV material runs on the fully enclosed 0.5–5 L micro-batch line with low-shear handling qualified at process validation [4]. QC panel design follows MISEV2018 [2] and the national measurement guideline (2026 No. 17, TONGNIAN a drafting organization) [5].

06 · Regulatory pathway: EU & US first

EU: Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 — CPNP notification, Responsible Person, PIF/CPSR. US: MoCRA (2022) registration and listing; INCI labelling (41316). Appearance-level claims only per EU Reg. 655/2013 and US advertising standards. China market entry later maps to the CSAR track — additional market. Plant-origin wording follows cosmetic claim criteria; no pesticidal, therapeutic, or novel-food implications claimed without assessment.

07 · Expected outcomes

  • Origin story backed by data: plant narrative plus batch measurement — the combination the shelf lacks.
  • Cross-line leverage: fractions serve skincare, intimate care, and oral families.
  • Compliance path cleared on both EU and US cosmetic frameworks.

No claims are made beyond the destination-market framing — authority comes from documentation and batch measurement.

08 · Commercial framework

Sample kits in 3–5 days; pilot from 500 units; production from 2,000 units; standard lead 15 workdays — all indicative, quoted per request. White-label runs through the OBM program.
